Why pallasite for a gift
Stony-iron meteorites account for roughly 1.2% of all meteorite material recovered on Earth, and within Seymchan the olivine-bearing portion is a fraction of that again. It is an object with a specific and verifiable origin, which is not true of most things bought as gifts.
