A Muonionalusta iron meteorite band made to your size. The metal is cut and finished by hand, then acid-etched to bring out the crystal structure that runs through it.
Iron meteorites are an iron-nickel alloy in elemental form. What identifies them is an internal lattice of interlocking iron and nickel crystals, formed at roughly one degree of cooling per million years in the microgravity of open space. It is invisible in the raw metal and appears only under nitric acid or a similar pickling solution. Laboratories have attempted to reproduce the conditions repeatedly without success — the pattern on any given band exists nowhere else.
All sizes can be customised. Send your size with the order.
