Muonionalusta Iron Meteorite Wedding Band - 9x2mm

A wedding band in Muonionalusta iron meteorite — 9 mm wide, 2 mm thick, made by hand. Wide face, shallow section: the proportion gives a large expanse of pattern without much weight, which is what you want in a ring meant to be worn permanently.

Why this material for a wedding band

The crystal lattice inside an iron meteorite formed at something like one degree of cooling per million years in open space, and no two sections of it are alike — the pattern on your band exists on no other object. It is brought out by acid etching and cannot be manufactured; laboratories have tried and failed.

The pair

Part of our lovers' ring group, which runs from 7.7 mm to 9.5 mm. Pairs are usually taken one wider, one narrower.
