Material

Elemental iron-nickel, etched with nitric acid to expose the crystal lattice that formed during the parent body's cooling. That lattice is the identifying feature of an iron meteorite and has never been successfully imitated in a laboratory.

Scale

Narrow bands show the pattern in short segments rather than long runs. If you want to see the geometry develop across the metal, go wider — 8 mm or above.
